Rag’n’Bone Man announced as winner of BRITSs Critics’ Choice Award

The BRIT Awards with Mastercard have today announced that Rag’n’Bone Man is the winner of the 2017 Critics’ Choice Award, with Anne-Marie and Dua Lipa as runners up.
2016 has already been a big year for Rag’n’Bone Man aka Rory Graham as his track ‘Human’ has been the Official Chart’s Number One trending track for two weeks in a row as well as a performance at Glastonbury and a sold out show at the Electric Brixton.
Speaking about the award Rag’n’Bone Man said:
“I thought they had made a mistake. I was up against two pop giants. It’s bloody brilliant! I’m crazy happy. Proper massive grin.”
Rory will be presented with the Critics’ Choice Award at the nominations launch on Saturday 14th January in a primetime slot on ITV. He will also perform on the show, alongside Olly Murs, Craig David, Christine and the Queens and Calum Scott.
The BRITs Critics’ Choice Award is chosen by a panel of music industry experts and tastemakers including music editors of national newspapers, magazines and websites as well as key players from major TV and radio stations.
Since launching in 2008 the Critics’ Choice Award has continued to successfully highlight and identify future British recording talent before it happens. Not only have previous winners enjoyed incredible domestic success but also international acclaim and collectively, the winners, to date, have sold in excess of 60 million albums in the UK alone.
