Lady Gaga could mark her musical comeback with a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards 2016. The Applause singer will reportedly open the ceremony by debuting a new single titled Chaos Angel.

Fans of Gaga, 30, are circulating a screenshot of production notes which were reportedly leaked from 22 Degrees, a professional production television and live-event lighting company. The document bears the MTV VMAs logo with the famous moonman on the masthead and stage instructions which lists Gaga as the opening performer.

Reports of the performance come just days after a radio DJ claimed the Born This Way singer will release a new single imminently. On 8 August, Chase Murphy, a host at Mix 96.1 in San Antonio, Texas, revealed Gaga will release a brand new track within 30 days. Insisting that his knowledge is legitimate, Murphy told his Twitter followers: “I work in radio. It’s my job to know these things. :). Her record company told me to expect new LGG music within the next 30 days.”

Following the release of her third album Artpop in 2013, Gaga has dedicated time to pursue an acting career. The Grammy-winner has since landed roles in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, a reported role in the upcoming A Star Is Born remake and American Horror Story: Hotel, which earned her the best actress in a mini-series or television film Golden Globe.
