After months of stellar performances, battle rounds and public votes, Mo Adeniran was crowned the winner of The Voice UK during Sunday night’s live final.

Whilst the show was disrupted by a stage invader and Tom Jones accidentally swearing on air, nothing could detract from the 21-year-old’s joy as he beat Welsh duo Into The Ark to be named the winner.

Flabbergasted as the result was announced, Mo looked on in shock whilst his mentor Jennifer Hudson immediately burst into tears of happiness.

Speechless after the results were announced, Mo said: ‘Thank you everyone at home, just want to say thank you to Jennifer and all the coaches.

‘An amazing thank you to the most phenomenal person I have ever met, thank you Jennifer.’

It came as no surprise to see he scooped the win on the night, as he has long been the bookies favourite.

Mo impressed the judges and the viewing public with his renditions of Iron Sky by Paolo Nutini AND Unsteady by X Ambassadors, in the final.

After his performance of Iron Sky, Jennifer reasoned: ‘If that is not a representation of what The Voice is about then I don’t know what is. It’s timeless and it’s not something that comes about all the time.’
